Hey, anyone own a new 2009 maxima? I am thinking about buying one. Can anyone give me any pros and cons about the car, especially in the snow? How about a comparison between the maxima and the honda accord?

what comparison do you really want to know ? i work for a honda dealer as well as we own a nissan and toyota dealership, maxima is a better looking 4 door, accord is a hot 2 door, dont like looks of the 4 door accord, honda will hold value better, both cars are good in snow, but snow tires make a difference, accord is cheaper in cost but holds value better over period, anything else ?

i want alot more for my money

if this is the case, dont' buy a car - they depreciate as soon as you roll them off the showroom floor. if you're looking for value, don't sink it into a car -

I like the 2008, but haven't ridden the 09 - I've loved this car since 87' (doh!!!)

Digging the new G benz too!

well maximas are generally pretty reliable and long lasting cars. ive seen them go up to 200K miles. compared to accords: accords probably use less gas but i think max's are faster and more luxurious. if ur lookin at 2009 models, i'd say get the max lol

The Maxima definitely looks like a hot car and has gotten good reviews from many of the Car Magazines out there.

-It has a good amount of power to it and the CVT is the best in the industry thus far.
-Reliability from previous generation Maxima's have been good depending on owner's care (like our reef tanks the health of the car changes depending on our efforts =P )

-THE BAD THING is Nissan's vehicles have the WORST depreciation rates. Toyota and Honda keep their resale value much better than Nissan's do.
