dude,

thanks for the advice. i will post pics when i get back. and if anybody shoots me in the throat i will kick them in the nuts ;)

j.

Hope it's not too late to chime in...

1. what to expect
2. what to wear or not wear
3. how not to get shot (i probably should have put this first)
4. why the hell people do this in the first place :irked:

Expect everything that you hear, to be unrealistic. Paintballs do not hurt, they only sting. Well that is unless you tend to get shot from up close.

Clothes, try to not wear anything tight. Wearing tight clothes, you will expect to feel the hit a bit more. Stay on the lines of oversized clothes (paintball trick). An extra Tshirt will help, but do not go crazy as you will sweat. Dehydration is a B....

Want to avoid getting shot? Best thing to do is not try and focus on one thing or one area. Always keep your eyes open and alert to your surroundings. Believe it or not, when you see paint being shot at you, you can literally see the paintballs flying towards you. So avoid the area where they are shooting towards.

It is an adrenaline sport. Some people like jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, some people like to jump off of perfectly good cliffs. Just like anything else, it is fun to do.

hey all,

so i got back and i have to say its not as bad as i thought. you can sit behind a tree and drink all day. if you hide well you actually can chill for abotu 30 minutes before then end the round. as for the shooting, i only shot my gun once during the whole day, when a close friend of mine came looking for me. he jumped out from behind a tree and we shot each other in the nuts....yay...only time either one of us shot the guns all day.

thanks for all your input and comments guys.

That is on my top 10 places to shoot people!

1. Head
2. Neck
3. Back of the Head
4. Nuts
5. Hands
6. Other player's Gun.
7. Anything not covered well
9. Head (yes it is a repeat, but I love head shots)
10. Neck (because it hurts like a MOFO!)

Glad to hear you had a good time! And congrats to the bachelor.

Just a quick question JRobbins did you go to Skirmish for paintball? Cause my coworker went this weekend also and said some guys got shot in the nuts too.
And didn't I warn you to wear a cup?

I don't think it was called skirmish, it was up between hunter and albany, so if thats where skirmish is then i guess that was it. as for the cup...well we all thought that stuffing socks down our pants would help. it didnt...

Hunter and Albany NY? then no. Skirmish is in PA. and socks don't work if you're wearing boxers.

My wife and I just took a day trip up the Delaware River. North of Port Jervis along the Hawks Nest is a paint ball place adjoined with a river rafting, canoe, tubing place called Kittatinny Canoe/Paintball. Looks like a nice place to bring the whole family for a day of fun.
