Just so you know... If you purchase paint at the Cousins store it is cheaper than purchasing at the field. All you need to do is bring your receipt so you can bring in the paint.

Event Details

Dates: May 16-17, 2009
Title: Big Game 2009 May 16th & 17th 2009
Location: Cousins Paintball - Coram, Long Island

Cousins Paintball is proud to present “BIG GAME LONG ISLAND 2009” The game that has run continuously since 1988 returns to Coram, Long Island. This year promises to be one of the most exciting yet! 2000 players are expected to converge on the 88 acre playing field on May 16th and 17th for a weekend of paintball excitement. This year’s game will feature some virgin sections of land that we have not previously used for Big Games in the past. Also look for some new structures and defenses scattered about the playing area that should add to the fun.
The 2 day event features a real helicopter flying overhead, dispersing grenades and fire from our veteran big game gunner “Doc”. Also adding to the excitement are the multiple tanks from TJ and Dawn Alcott of Armoured Fist. They know the trails and sneaky back roads that you wouldn’t think a tank could get through so watch yourselves! Keep your eyes open when out on the field because you may be lucky enough to find one of the ammo can prizes. If you find one of the designated ammo boxes and return it to the score table, you will be awarded with a prize for you and points for your team. The prizes range anywhere from hats and shirts up to paint and guns.

The Generals for this year will be Greg “Red” Hastings for the Blue team and Hercules” Hitman” Papadogiannis for the Red team and they vow that this will be a paintball battle for the ages! Greg, a veteran pro player, is best known for his video game series “Greg Hasting Tournament Paintball” which is available on multiple gaming platforms. In recent years Greg has switched much of his focus to scenario play and travels around the country participating in different games. He also writes articles on play and tactics for Paintball Sports Magazine. Hercules is the captain of well known team “The Undertakers” and the founder of the scenario tournament league the TTPL (Tactical Ten Paintball League). Hitman and his team are also one of the best sponsored and well travelled teams in the country.
Another perennial favorite to BGLI is Mike “Blue” Hanse and the world famous “Blues Crew”. Blue is the owner/operator of EMR Paintball Park in Pennsylvania, home of “Castle Conquest”, and a true paintball ambassador. He travels around the country participating in many games throughout the year. Mike and the rest of the crew will be present with their expansive compound representing their sponsors and their team. And who can forget the “Wild Geese” led by Jerry Jameson, they are one of the longest running teams in the world and have participated in every big game at Coram since its inception. Sharing their compound are our friends from up north, “Canadian Contingent” another regular at BGLI, with their years of experience and fun loving attitude they are always a welcome part of Big Game. These scenario greats will be accompanied by many other scenario teams including such local favorites as the Assassins, Got Kills, Ragnarok, Brooklyn Ball Busters and many, many more.
The ever popular trade show will be present with the newest and coolest gear from Tippmann, Smart Parts, Dye, Eclipse, V-Force, Nxe, Redz, Virtue and many others. Also check out our clearance area with great deals on clearance and closeout items from many vendors. Come by the vending area on Sunday afternoon after the game for the “Great Prize Giveaway” we will be giving out a collection of prizes from our event sponsors, but be prepared to participate in some of our goofy contests to win some of the prizes.
We look forward to seeing you here, it is an event that will create memories for years to come and has become a staple for scenario players in the Northeast.

damn trying to recruit just anybody off the forum..... heh.
Dagreat- Plenty of places that are geared more towards recreation is FPO. They do not want any outside paint in particular, because of not only their own requirements, but also environmental requirements for the field. Keep in mind that certain tournament based paint tends to stain clothing, and the last thing that a certain field needs is customers coming back stating that their clothing is now stained and dyed by paint they said was non staining.
Even consider this. Certain paints utilize fish oils, which may attract certain unwanted critters onto their fields which may put customers into harms way. Now even if you sign a waiver following field rules for play, no one wants to go home being mauled by an animal when you are out trying to have fun.

Just an FYI.
