Amazing Dog Needs a home

So this is a dog that I pulled off the euthanasia list at Animal Care and Control over the weekend. They call her Joyce. She was found in the lobby of a bronx building after possibly being struck by a car. She was brought in as a stray and had a wound to her hind limb. The wound is healing up very nicely with antibiotics and bandage changes. She was going to be euthanized simply because of her wound and for space. She was BEYOND LOVING so i got an email about her and rescued her. She started to cough a bit so I am keeping her at my hospital and treating her myself. I would like to find a very loving and special home for her.
She is good with cats, dogs and all ages of people. She truely is a loving and amazing dog. I wish I could keep her but already have a zoo in my small apt.
I have another dog at my hospital who needs a home but Joyce is my first concern (other is amazing male pit bull neutered but not good with other dogs)

Only serious, experienced dog owners with the ability to give her the life she deserves should respond. I am a member of a non-profit that pulls dogs off the euthanasia list and finds them homes so this is a real adoption which requires an application and references.

Please PM me if interested. SHE IS AN AMAZING DOG and deserves the best. I am covering all her medical costs and spaying her. She is vaccinated and microchipped.

Thanks everyone. I must say this dog really is great. I took her out for a walk and she did her thing on the sidewalk and is just a pleasure to walk. She is a real eye catcher for people also.

I brought her a kong today with some peanut butter so she is having a good time!

Would this Dog be good for a senior citizen? My grandma-in law had a dog for 15 years it passed away and its been years since she had one. LMK....

I think she would be better with a family or younger owner , she is still young and needs to run and play. Sorry though but if you would like a dog for a senior citizen the manhattan animal care and control has some amazing older dogs that would be perfect!

no worries i am going to foster her once she is 100% healthy and find her a right home! Thanks everyone though, still keep an eye out for the right family but no rush she is safe with me

Yea we went on a few walks today and she is super friendly with people. She is doing well with my dogs but havent let her run yet in the park. She is in love with my cat and fully house trained!

HEY EVERYONE

So Sake is in a new home that wants to adopt her BUT they are not 100% since all Sake wants to do is play with the two cats they have and the cats are scared.
I just wanted to let you guys know that if it doesnt work out she will need a home and I cannot express enough how amazing this dog is. I am in love with her and am having a tough time giving her up but its best for my two dogs as they didn't like having her around.

If you are a responsible owner and want a dog that is loving and amazing (also loves cats) just let me know.

My GF and I volunteer at the AC&C in Harlem. Is that where Joyce was? If so, I'm pretty sure I've walked her as I do remmember she was in fact an amazing dog.

yes that is her! They named her Joyce at the shelter and then we named her Sake.
