They've done some significant foundation work at ground zero and no bricks were layed because we don't use bricks in modern construction of sky scrapers anymore.

here's some info:

Groundbreaking for the World Trade Center took place on August 5, 1966. The North Tower (1) was completed in December 1970 and the South Tower (2) was finished in July 1971. Construction of the World Trade Center involved excavating a large amount of material which was used in making Battery Park City on the west side of Lower Manhattan.

So... they can build both towers in 5 years....but can't finish a foundation in 8 years????? .... I don't think they used Bricks in the first twin towers either..

Keeping to the topic. They don't belong being brought here for trial. The belong in a Military Prison being prosecuted by military tribunals. They are soldiers and therefore don't belong in a civilian court. Plus, to bring the security threat and additional security costs to this city is stupid. We have a neon arrow pointing to us and a bullseye around us as it is, bringing them here is like putting a searchlight on us. This is a huge mistake to do. I just hope nothing happens while these idiots are here.

The politicians need to start thinking and stay out of the Military affairs and let the Military people do their job as it should be done.
