we'll see i didnt say i hate honda guys i said i hate hondas, i had one and lost $1000 on a race when i was 18, the piece of crap broke on me, ls vtec with a t28 disco potato and a fmic. i junked the car, i brought it to garden state metal on rt 46, they gave me $600 and they crushed it with engine and all. so they say. i think every mechanic now a days started with a honda. the fastest time i ran with an engine i built was 11.24 with a lsvtec and it was on a civic that i built for a friend and im a fat guy, we got kicked out for no roll cage. omg. and the car dynoed at 238 hp at 10lb boost. it had slicks and all. im hoping my sentra will run 10s if not bottle will go on too.:Up_to_som then i can reach my goal. nothing a 100 shot of nitrous cant fix lol. i dont hate honda guys, i hate the way some of them act, u know, pretending they are unstoppable.
Yea i didnt have a cage lastyear and was getting a lottt of $hit about not enough safty equitment..

went 10.64@137mph on 18psi. and they damn near cursed out my mother. They told me to slow down or never come back. The next pass was 11.26@85mph lol.. Well at least i know my brakes work.

shoot im sponsored by me racing, all me no one else, i dont put sunoco stickers or mbracing stickers, or vraceworks, i get parts from them but i pay for them so they dont get no advertisement from me. when they give me gas or head gaskets, or turbo rebuild parts for free then i will put their name on my car

lol, Yea i was sponsored by "me racing" for a while. It's finally good to have a lil help.

I only have one sticker on my car. And thats from Xenocron. Chris tunes for free (inturn i have to win races) and comes with me to the track to get the car dialed in.

This was a few months ago at the Fall Nationals/OutLaw Race. You can see Chris getting me lined up in the video.

nice, u run an ek only? is it b or k? me personally, the next motor i build for my friend will be a f series block h head k internals b trans and turbo. and if he breaks in april that when we'll do it. i post the build if he breaks in april, which i know he wont, so im going to have to convince him to do the swap. im making a new engine for next year for this nissan, im building a 1997 maxima engine, the vq30de, building it for my next year project, it will go on this same kind of car and it will be only for track, i am buying another sentra like this one to make it 6 cyl turbo nitrous. i have the engine disassembled and the new parts will be ordered when the tax check comes. lol i love having 3 kids

I'm with Rick, and when he says "hondas" I think he means all that burns rice, none ar excluded. There's something about skinnies on the rear wheels and spoilers on the trunk that screams "I wear a helmet.... even when I'm not in my car" lol. I started out with a dohc vtec del sol back in the day and had Craig Paisley do all the work on it. I ended up with 240 fwhp naturally aspirated, removed A.C., power steering, and when all was said and done compression was at 11.3:1. It looked bone stock on the outside, no stickers, paint jobs, spoilers, or exhausts. Moved on to a 96 V6 mustang bored out to 4 liters and supercharged with a buttload of work and 550 rwhp (on a good day it could dip into high 11s but mostly ran low 12s). Rice burners are quick but they will never be able to touch larger displacement american cars at the top end. Most ricers have larger exhausts on a 2 liter than the entire setup on a stock car, that's why there is a stigma. I'm going to start a rehab program where we take ricers and let them drive real cars for a few days so they can start the healing lol.

it's funny because i do work at a honda dealership and we got kids with odyssy motors in civics, and are quick as crap, but nothing like a real motor shaking the ground and the sound of their exhuast, and the set you back cant move in the seat feel of v8 power, dont get me wrong one of the fastest cars ive owned was a 90 lx stang built turbo 2.3 4 cyc, ive owned 67 cars now

Honestly, if you know what you're doing you can make anything go fast. It just boils down to time and money. Imports are way more expensive to tune and after all that time and effort.... you still just have a fast Honda :banghead:.

same with the chevy and ford, it still a ford, but us import guys and doing the same times with a 4 banger while the V8 guys struggle to keep their cars on the floor to run the times that we run. wheelies are what kills the v8 on a 1/4 mile time. it is much less to make a honda run faster then a v8. yes u can buy a 500hp set up in a crate but ur upgrades will be far more expensive. ull need a 4 link suspension to keep the car from hopping up on 2 wheels, wheelie bars, and a pro to install it so it will pass inspection at the track. thats 25,000 in total just on getting a v8 to run a 10 and thats without the power glide trans, and msd, or ems. on a honda or nissan, u will use a 1.6 to a 2.4 4 cylinder engine and internals, turbo, nitrous, roll cage ans gut the car some kyb suspension slicks and lets go for a low price of 8,000 to 10,000. i built mine with 6,000, and will be testing in april in island dragway but i will not let people see my time, then i will hit the streets.

Just to let you know ive got a little under 7k in a 1999 ls1 camaro and im in the 9s. I ran 10s with drag radials, heads and cam + tune of course. Much cheaper. For 25k i could be in the 8s.

Anyway nice build i reccomend swapping out your pvc intake pipes for some steel or even better aluminum. Also replace all your hose clamps with spring loaded tension clamps. You may also want to reposition your intercooler upfront for optimal efficiency.

lol pvc has held up fine, intercooler is fine where it is, its a sleeper and where i live people steel cars. it has held up nicely, what was ur trap speed? what was ur 60' time? show pics of it. i want to see it. is it full interior? roll cage? nitrous and turbo? or just twin turbo? my car is for street not for racing so i dont need to change my intercooler. it is getting enough air to it. these arent updated pics. the updates will be soon when i get everything to a tee

Sure my quickest time is a 9.92 @ 144 and 1.62 60 ft. This is with a full interior car weighs in at 3340 with me in it. It has minor weight reduction- spare tire, egr, air system ect. The motor is a forged ls1 347 making 490 rwhp. If youd like more info let me know. I daily drive this car on nice days and consistently get 18mpg around town and 28mpg on the highway. It will run mid 10s consitently all motor and my time above is on a 150 shot. I will be bumping it up to a 250 or 300 next year and well see how it goes. Hoping for low 9s but will have to put a cage in it first before i go back to the track :wink1:.
