Any1 using ssd on their computer? any personal opinions?

The price to performance ratio at the moment makes it not worthwhile. As the price declines I can see it being worth it overtime.

For now I'd recommend running a 1 tb WD or seagate spinpoint drive with 32 mb cache

Or If you want to have a primary os drive and use it for gaming and media encoding check out WD's raptor line of hds.

I am debating between OCZ Vertex & Intel X25-M G2. I'm also trying to get some procedure info on imaging from my 2nd partition xp from a sata hd to ssd. Due to the difference in partition # and the ssd alignment issues, I'm a bit unsure if it can be done successfully. I hate to have to reinstall.

What is the alignment issue?

XP partition's alignment is not suitable for ssd, unlike vista n win7.
