Bermuda

Anyone ever been there? I have been to many islands but never Bermuda. I'm leaving this saturday to go. Staying near Kings Wharf, any good spots to eat and get good drinks? And how are the reefs? I'm thinking they are not as nice as the carribean due to Bermuda being so far north? Any Info thanks

I have been three time`s. Definatly go to the Swizzle Inn and get a rum swizzle food is good also. Rent a moped and tour the island at your own pace. get some snorkling gear and stop at the places along the roads where the locals are and there is one beach you have to go to w/the moped that all the locals go to it has a shack that has ice cold beer good burger`s and a protected inlet w/ good snorkling. I will have to get the name from my wife I cant remember. The weather is much like that of the Carolina`s as it is off the coast of them.I`ll get back to you w/the name.

The beach is Tabacco Bay or beach not sure must go. Go to Hogpenny pub at night 4 dinner not fine dinning but very good and for fine dinning Aqua at Michael Douglas`s hotel. Have a good time!!!!

Forget Ariel Sands(Michael Douglas hotel) they closed for renovation in 08 don`t know if they reopened.....

I used Triangle Diving @ the Grotto Bay Beach Resort for scuba. Good people, fast boat & they know the reefs. Lots of bars in Hamilton. Bermuda is really nice, a clean, friendly island with excellent beaches.

Got back from my trip, and the Rum Swizzles were great. Although 30 dollars for a 32oz was a little pricey. Tobacco bay was great saw a portugese man o war, first one I have ever seen in person, and plenty of anenomes, wrasses and brain corals everywhere in the shallows. The water was cold though only 65 degrees.

I love bermuda. I love the fact you can get a scooter and do what you want, no bad areas, everythings safe. Did you know you cant own a house there as a summer place? Youve gotta have someone there full time to maintain it! What a great idea.

Yea I saw that Audio, there is also a waiting list. The island maintains 80% Bermudians and 20% outsiders for home ownership. I'm looking into a condo there that you must split 6 ways. You get 8 weeks apiece. Not sure if it is worth it though.

snorkel park was closed when I was there, very disappointed. Might be going back on may 15th
