Hey Guys,

I bought a Belkin Play N+N300 router today. So far it's working great. We paid about $100 for it with tax and such from Staples. We have 14 days to return it, so we wanted to know if there was a better wireless router out there for the price.

We have one desktop and one laptop. We want to be able to use the wireless throughout the entire apt.

Just looking for an idea of whats out there.

Well it was $89 with tax, but yes still very steep.

I was actually using the Linksys WRT54G for a while and had nothing but trouble with it. It would constantly need resetting and plug pulling to make it work for any length of time. Maybe this was an isolated incident? On top of that we got no signal from it when we moved the laptop two rooms away. Could there be any other reason why this was happening?

I second the Belkin option. No need to pay double the price for the same features. all u r payin 4 is the brand + their marketing strategy.

Linksys to me are terrible, always runs hot and you always have to reboot. And if you want it to run correctly you gotta install a different firmware. I switched and went with a netgear wndr3700 and haven't regretted it.
