Tritton Head Sets For Gaming

just got the Tritton AX720 Digital man what a differance, cant wait to really get on tonight and use them

My buddy got the same headset. Amazing. Just amazing. Honestly I WAS going to get that same one, but I just cannot deal with the wires in my bed room with the girlfriend and dog in the same room at night. Trust me, i guarantee you will love them...

Can you use the mix amp with anything else besides the console and tv? Like my ipad or phone?

They are designed for computer use so you should be able to use the mixamp. The only thing I would see as an issue is either the source drivers/ hardware and what you use as the output if it isn't the headphones.

How's the surround on those in your opinion?

For sound quality, to be honest, I did not get to play that much last night seeing if you saw my post on the huse burning down, we are still not aloud to stay over in it and i worked til 8 last night. BUT.... I still stopped at the house and set it up and gave it a shot! Lol. I only tried it on 2 games: need for speed hot pursuit & breach. The only thing i could say about it was holy s*** where have you been all my life?!? We were messing around online with my friend playing breach, and I told him you can only try and kill me by knife me from behind. No joke, about 15 feet away and slight right. 5 steps away and exact left. I could call it out all night. He shot an rpg behind me and you can follow the bass and know when to jump when its close. I cannot wait to move back into the house and play some more!

For feeling & comfort wise, I'd give it a 9.5 out of ten. Once you set it to fit your head, and it's on for a few minutes, you forget it's on. Amazing. Only thing I would say bad is that after playing for a couple hours I have a feeling your ears will get real warm. And after only playing for an hour or so, when I left, I got a head ache. But I think that's more cause I may have had its volume too high and it's the first time hearing Dolby 7.1 right in my ear drum! Lol.

the tritons fit nicely and feel comfortable but have a little weight to them, figure after a month or so of use will be even more comfortable as the foam starts to break in a little more.

Yes, the mix amp wirelessly transmits to the transmitter which is connected to your console or tv from the optical cable that is mandatory to have. The mix amp mainly is for gaming. It has 2 volume controls as you can see in my 5th picture I posted. The main one controls volume. The other smaller controller adjusts what you want to be louder...volume or voice chat. The button next to the smaller controller to the left is simple on and off/ sync. The button to the right is a bass booster. The transmitter in the last picture is what hooks to your console or tv. It plugs into the wall, and with the optical cable, you hook that up to the device your using it with. There are two buttons as well on the transmitter. The left button is on and off/ sync and the button to the left controls Dolby 5.1 or Dolby 7.1.
