I use photoshop to normalize my photos. When I take them through the tank glass, they all have a blue-green cast from the combination of my actinics and the PC lights and the ambient lights. I use the curves feature in ps to take a little bit of blue out of the photos and put a little red back into them to make them look more like what I actually see when I look into my tank. A lot of people badmouth photoshop, but it's a very valuable tool as long as you don't push the photo too far.
