I need help! I've had this consistent problem with green algae growing in my tank I have used a tooth brush and a variety of other instruments to scape it off my live rock, it goes away and within 2 weeks it comes back.
My yellow tang and hippo tang do not touch it. Any ideas on how to get rid of this stuff?

The basics include:
  • reduce available nutrients by feeding less
  • reduce photoperiod
  • increase manually removal
  • increase size of clean-up crew
Pictures will go far towards identifying the particular algae you have and allow us to give more specific suggestions to help eradicate it.

what do your water parameters test at? You can remove all the algae you want if your water has the nutrients it will just come back. Also, are you dosing with any supplements and if so which? What kind of flow do you have in the tank (PHs)?
