gasket on the flange side. I usually give it about a 1/8-1/4 turn with channel locks.
I always went hand tight and then ran water and if needed then use the Chanel locks and turn till the drip stopped never just tighten with a tool you can cut the gasket or roll the gasket causing a bad leak and it'll be extremely hard to remove.
Teflon should not be necessary...but how many times are you wrapping it?Tried 3 times today with Teflon tape. With each try I had a small dripping leak no matter how tight I made the connection. Going to try the TFT paste tomorrow. A few people said that should work.
Have you ever used the paste instead of Teflon?
