:Starwars: Hello ALL! I just purchase this AGA 75G RR and had purchase this wet/dry/sump & skimmer. The tank is RR and could use your input on how to connect this all together. I had bought PVC tubing, and other items at Homedepot. Can someone draw me a layout, on how to connect from tank to sump or wet/dry and skimmer. I would appreciate.

Have a nice evening!

IMO take the wet dry back,& get an Oceanic #1,or #2 sump.

If u have a power outage with the wet/dry,u end up with a huge mess because of the syphon.

Reef ready system once the water level gets lower than the return and the intake siphon stops, also siphon break allows siphon to stop, once power comes back on water level from sump/wetdry filter rises and reef ready system starts all over again. The Wed dry is being used the same as a home made sump in this aspect just instead of being a tank it's a gutted wet dry filter.

I'm just curious and it seems the logic does make sense. But how do you set up the system mechanically to make this thing work?

I guess there are going to be auto shut off values n other gadgets??

No 32bit, built in overflows stop flowing water to the sump once the water drops below the pipe intake/outlet which is usually high in the tank. You can also drill a hole in te pipe as well as a siphon break. The pipes are plastic.

Once the power comes back on the pump starts pumping water to the tank, water level rises and once it goes over the pipes the overflow is started automatically. Note you must leave "drain room in the sump and if you ask some people here they may help you with the setting up of this stuff only thing it may cost is some beer and or pizza.

Happy reefing!

When a new tank is for sale as a Reef Ready... Is that mean it comes with the overflow box and I don't need to worry about my home get flutted?

I have a used 125g tank and I used to keep discus in it. Would it be very complicated to turn it into a RR tank?
