I think they are pretty fair in pricing. It depends on what their shipping policies are. I know some places will ship free if you spend over a certain amount.

I would rather see the livestock I'm going to get then take a chance on something that is not what you expected from the pic.
Stick to the vendors on this forum.

Not necessarily, they are cheaper than SWF on a lot of things. I do think you are MUCH better off checking with the vendors here at MR. I feel they are very competitive with the prices of online vendors and the customer service is better. Also, depending on where you live, it might be cheaper than the shipping costs of many on-line stores.

I have yet to hear negative feedback on any of the MR vendors.

i buy mostly from there divers den i think they are a little high but there stuff is top shelf and there CS can not be beat so i don't mind paying a little extra.

i agree and disagree. you can ask a vendor to special order something you maybe intrested in and if it is not what you thought it would be you are kind of stuck buying it either way other wise you are screwing themso its 50/50.. shipping screw you more though and that is were group buys come in

I do prefer livestock purchases locally, as I want to see what I get, and, even if their prices locally are higher, they usually end up competitive with any of the on line vendors after shipping costs. For drygoods, F&S are pretty well priced, with reasonable shipping costs so long as ground delivery works for you.

pricing when it comes to livestock is completely relative to the quality and what you are willing to pay for that quality. It's just like anything else. If some website has a zoa frag for $15 a polyp, some people might be outraged while others see it and think it's a deal. A fish with great color or a rare pattern morph or just plain healthy is worth more money since it is harder to find or has a much better chance of survival. I'd rather spend an extra $20 or $50 or whatever for some livestock if I know it's in good shape rather than save the $50 and have to buy it again. The real question is who has the best livestock or the healthiest or the rarest. After that pricing is up to you. Set a limit for yourself ahead of time and find good specimens.
