bump and
2) so i think im geting a 20gl tank from somebody
3) does frogspawn or mushrooms need extreme lighting
4) what is the best clown food-- or just variety (i know thats a little specific for where i am bt jw)
5)the LR at my LFS doesnt look like its popping with life-- i think i might get some from premium aquatics. when the time comes (has anyone had experience with them?)
6)what do u guys think of a haitian condylactis anenome?-- just curious about them any information about them would be great
7) my LFS has tomato clowns (adorable ones btw) for abou 20$ each which is better than online!!-- actually i just checked .. it isnt.. haha-- but i feel more comforatble getting them from there (again when the time comes) than paying ridiculous shiping fee for them (which also makes online cost more) -- my mind might chance
8)what are cinnamon clowns like-- they had some but they were labled as tomato clown
9) camel shrimp are officially my favorite shrimp-- i dont have them but they are sooo cool looking and they are very very twitchy

Haitian Reef Anemone
Care Level: Moderate
Light: High
Water Flow: Medium
Tank Conditions: 72-78°F; sg 1.023-1.025; pH 8.1-8.4

No camel shrimp they eat some soft corals and some anemones.
I would get a Peppermint Shrimp if that’s the look you like they also eat Aiptasia that you might get on your rocks.

Frogspawn needs decent (moderate to high) lighting with decent flow.

Clowns should eat what ever you feed them. Some marine flake and pellet with variety should keep them fine.

Premium aquatics is good, however, the rocks purpose is the bacteria, the rest is just extra.

Haitian condylactic do not naturally host in the wild, get pretty big and requite good lighting.

Cinnamon clowns are like all clown fish, not too agressive, and stay moderately small.

You should get some more different types of algae for the seahorse tank; as well as live rock, you can't get a much better filter. The rock will also allow a larger copepod population. You should also get a good amount of rubble for the fuge section for more copepod growth.

What do you plan of feeding your seahorses?

Dead rock is not live rock, especially if you are not putting anything in the tank that was ever in another tank or in the ocean. A couple small pieces of nice looking live rock will go a long way (even not so nice pieces). Bio-spria is great and all; however, it will not give you the diversity or the life that plain old live rock does.

Your starting with a mostly sterile environment (sterile rock, sterile sand, fake plants, mixed seawater...). Some live rock and a cup of sand from a mature tank will go a long way; as well as a variety of macro algae.

What is your sea horse set up again? (size, equipment, etc.)

its 10gl divided with about a 2-3gl fuge
plastic hitches
b*w substrate
sponge filter
flourenscent lights
airpump/extra airline for flow
i think im getting a HOB filter to increase flow on the display sided and remove the extra airline

completely cycled
i added snails and hermits yesterday (acclimated them for about an hour or so-- i wasnt sure how long so thats what i did)

12 H. zosterae horses on the way-- dont know when they are coming

there are very few options for me for live rock-- it MUST be panacured
and amphipods will harm the horses (there was a case of them eating a horse fry-- and these horses are only about an inch big)

the other option is seawater express but thats a 5lb box and i dont think i want that much

I agree with cindre2000 about live rock and live sand (ask the people at you LFS for a small bag of sand from on of there tanks my LFS people will do stuff like that).

What are the snails and crabs eating (from picture I see no algae or anything)?
What kind of snails and crabs?

If you like that purple and pink color from LR etc. get a better light (satellite has a good cheap one and your tank wont look yellow).

there is algea in my tank-- small layer and there are table shrimp bits everywhere (crabs) i saw one eating it last night

satellites are too strong for dwarves--
i think-- i could be wrong-- maybe the eel tank has some -- but almost all the marine tanks are barebottom at the LFS

oh and reef hermits and nassies

dwarves arent just any type of seahorse-- they have VERY specific requirements and are very sensitive to things some seahorses might not be

everything i have done with my tank i completely talked through with people who have kept them for years. hence my 17pg long thred in seahorse.org

i have researched dwarve an additional 3 yeears before that as well..
i understand what your saying in full-- and i might get some live rock or i might not

im getting algea
everystep i have talked through-- thats why i came here to talk through reeefs before i did anything impulsive--
