This "kit" is fitted to go over a 48" long tank, and I am NOT looking to part out. I'm a craftsman by trade, so it's safe to say the legs are professionally built, and there is the thread that shows them built from the ground up (but it's on another site, so PM if you wanna see). They fit on the tank rim tightly, are entirely aluminum (rust proof) and are coated with Krylon Fusion flat black paint.

The Mu fixtures have been running since March 9th of this year, 8 hours on average per day (staggered for sunrise, sunset effects). According to the 30k hour expectancy, these things are pretty much brand new- I'll let you do the math. ;)

I've maintained them by thoroughly dusting the insides with a compressor, they've never been dropped or submerged, and have the original packaging to ship them out in.

In the interest of absolute full disclosure- The reason I'm selling them is because BoostLED just came out with a new version which is a little warmer color temperature. I've grown to like the look of warmer (more yellow) lighting over reefs, and the intensity of the blue on these guys is just a tad too much for me.

The PAR ratings and full description is available on the BoostLED website, but feel free to PM me any questions you have about the fixtures.

I am not selling anything unless I get BOTH units sold- and shipping will be delayed until I can get the new units from Boost. $700 gets it all shipped to you, cheaper if you pick up.

p.s. I've been neglecting my tank thread updates... I'll get some pics up of how awesome the coral look under these fixtures over the next sunrise/day cycle tomorrow.

This is actually good for an SPS heavy 90 gallon if you really want. The PAR ratings are comparable to two 250 watt 14k Metal Halide lamps, and I have the legs set so the fixtures are pretty close to the surface of the water. I'm growing zoas in the "shade" under liverock shadows.

In order to light acclimate everything, I used eggcrate to diffuse the light for a few days, then took it off and ran only the actinics for a few days.... Then gradually increased the day time lights until I got to eight hours.

Using a reef keeper lite to stagger the 4 plugs so there's a sunrise and sunset affect, I've been successful in getting my mandarins to start their breeding dances at the end of the light cycle.

Finally got a camera that takes decent pics, since a few people have been asking to see the coral under the lights.

Now I just want to be clear- I have NO idea how to take 100% accurate pics of coral under LEDs. Never had a problem taking accurate pics under my 14k metal halide, but this is really challenging for me to try to get right. This is as close to a true representation as I've figured out how to get.

I'm using a Cannon G9 with stock lens, on the "leaf" selected under the "scenes" option. Flash is on for all these shots- it takes down the intensity of the blue that I get on my other camera. In these pictures, the greens (the macros, not the coral) are a little more highlighted, and oranges look more subdued than in real life. Also, the fluorescence of the corals is significantly cut down.

I welcome anyone interested in the lights to come and check them out in person, since my photography skills totally suck.
