This "kit" is fitted to go over a 48" long tank, and I am NOT looking to part out. I'm a craftsman by trade, so it's safe to say the legs are professionally built, and there is the thread that shows them built from the ground up (but it's on another site, so PM if you wanna see). They fit on the tank rim tightly, are entirely aluminum (rust proof) and are coated with Krylon Fusion flat black paint.
The Mu fixtures have been running since March 9th of this year, 8 hours on average per day (staggered for sunrise, sunset effects). According to the 30k hour expectancy, these things are pretty much brand new- I'll let you do the math.
I've maintained them by thoroughly dusting the insides with a compressor, they've never been dropped or submerged, and have the original packaging to ship them out in.
In the interest of absolute full disclosure- The reason I'm selling them is because BoostLED just came out with a new version which is a little warmer color temperature. I've grown to like the look of warmer (more yellow) lighting over reefs, and the intensity of the blue on these guys is just a tad too much for me.
The PAR ratings and full description is available on the BoostLED website, but feel free to PM me any questions you have about the fixtures.
I am not selling anything unless I get BOTH units sold- and shipping will be delayed until I can get the new units from Boost. $700 gets it all shipped to you, cheaper if you pick up.
p.s. I've been neglecting my tank thread updates... I'll get some pics up of how awesome the coral look under these fixtures over the next sunrise/day cycle tomorrow.
