i think it has alot to do with high levels in cal and kh off the scale lemits.. and very low kh as well..

if their is not alot of coral in ur tank you shouldnt be using a doser mechine just dose when need manualy

dosers is good for huge big tanks with lots of coral.. or small tanks with lota of coral .. but if u got a small tank with not alot of coral a doser is over kill and will affect ur watera in a bad way

indeed but i havent dosed tank in 5 monthes at all my cal is rising for some reason 520ppm...my alk is 9dkh and mag is 1250 unless my test kit is wacked...the red sea mag kit i got wont even take a mag reading i run out of salution no reading...my friend test and said it was 1250...just did water chance to see...also i only got this doser to sort of balance out the perameters by dosing low ammounts throught the day...i thought that works according to ny steelo...if not then ya ..i never needed this doser...

How much gfo and carbon are you running. are you running too much? How intense do you have your lights? Those corals could do good even under low light conditions

what salt are you using . . have you checked the parms on a fresh batch of salt?

I went thru my parameters being out of whack . . where i calc was over 500 and mag 1500+ (tested with salifert). It turned out be my salt . . I was using ESV salt and found that I have was not mixing it correctly.

instant ocean for years salinity 1.025 might have too much gfo...like if i got sps...maybe thats it...and my skimmer is a monster for this set-up and barely any corals...bubblemaster 200

you know what i think ecvernon may have a point this is a new light...and i basically run it blues 100% whites 65% with 90 degree optics cree led equal to a 400w halide i might be roasting everything...

nope cant be because the light dims down every couple of minutes to enter the next phase of light ...my skills suck even with softys...or maybe this tank was used for a quarantine tank with copper...2 treat there fish from the 200gal...tank humm cause i never had a tank that didnt flourish at all...
