I have an older copperband in my reef and a couple of weeks ago I bought a slightly smaller one. She was not in great shape when I got her so I kept her in a separate tank for a week and she was eating everything (clams, worms and Mysis)
She got real nice looking and healthy and I added her to my tank. My old one chased her incessantly and would not let her come out from the back of the tank. I accidently caught her and put her back in a small tank. Now she is getting healthy again and still eating great.
I will give her away to the first person that will feed her well which is clams Mysis or worms. That is what copperbands need to stay in great shape. I just want to keep her a few more days to make sure she is back in perfect shape.

This is the older one.

So far in the last 30 minutes 3 people want her. I just want to get her in a little better shape which will take a few days then I will flip a coin, or something.

She was not in my tank long enough for me to know if she nips at corals as soon as I put her in, my old one chased her into the rocks.

I feed her live blackworms as I do for all my fish, thats why most of them are spawning.
Copperbands are not that expensive, I got this one for $10.00. (but they are usually about $35.00) The place had about fifty of them, they were not in great shape and it took a week before I got her into good shape. She was perfect and eating from my hand before I put her into my reef.
I wanted three of them but it seems my old one will not let me do it.

Paul, being that you feed the Copperband's clams. Does this mean that one must not have decorative clams in a tank with Copperbands?
Just curious since I am at the moment planning my tank's inhabitants for the near future (2.5 months down the line).;)

Relax guys, I'm not inline for this particular fish.;) Just picking Paul's brain for some of his knowledge...:)
