Ok...let me clairfy, so members don't go on a rampage.
I've been here long enough & sold many items to know that most "Pending" & "Interested" post usually never return to the thread or just back out. I'm not waiting for nobody, if I have someone that wants it. Long time members understand this scenario.
Most that have seen my tank & take a second to look at pics in my gallery, know what I'm selling. I posted very basic pieces with details.
As I said "1st to commit" gets the piece.
My thread, my rules.

Now back to topic of selling nice corals.

Octavious:

It's pending pick up for now.
I'll keep you posted for sure.

Mikey:
This is possibly getting picked up tomorrow. Just waiting on a word.
Either way, I might have another piece I can frag off. Let me check when I get home.

Frogspawn doing good?

As someone who has broken down 3 or 4 tanks in the last year I can definitely understand where Dvs is coming from. As a person that has filled 3 or 4 tanks in the last year I can understand wanting to see pics of something before you drive 2 hours to pick it up.

I normally don't post pics of what I'm selling because I'm lazy and it honestly doesn't make them sell quicker. I prefer to list what I have. Most members have seen the stuff in my tank, or when they come to buy a random coral they end up buying much much more. To post pics just ends up getting 20 people to dib your stuff. You then have to wait for 10 of them to drop out and the other 10 to come around and pick it up. Not an effective way of getting stuff our quick.

As I mentioned my preferred method of getting stuff out, not that anyone asked, is to just list it. My last tank breakdown for example had around 20 people who "dibbed", "were interested", "Definitely want it", "will let you know" etc. All of it ended up going to one guy. He showed up and said "wow you still have this much left?" to which I replied "people are flakes". He offered to take all of it if I gave a fair price and I did. Done deal.

I've also filled my tank in this way many times. I drive out to a reefers home who is selling lots of stuff. I get to see his setup, what this person does differently, we trade advice and the I lighten their bioload. Pics never do corals justice and when people want to get rid of things, they WANT to get rid of them. Often if you'll buy up a bunch of things they'll give you a discount just to be done wit it.

Last thing is: Stop being lazy people! You know how many things I've bought on the cheap because I checked out someones gallery while 10 people posted "pending pics". Check the gallery if you like it just PM them "I'll take it, is paypal ok?" and it's yours.
