hey everyone. figured it was time to throw up a tank post on MR. this is my first entry back into the hobby after a 4-5yr hiatus. in the past i've had a 10g and 20h with much success. 3mo ago i caught the bug again and started planning out this current tank. enjoy!

@KathyC - I've been doing weekly water changes of 15-20% (about 3-3.5gal) using RODI water. I have a spectrapure rodi setup.

yea, i've been thinking the same thing. technically, it's only gravity that's holding the rocks the way they are.

The pair were $175 from alphacorals.com; a discounted price. I actually just looked at their site and they have a pair for $290 now...

If know they were pricey but their colors just don't compare to the o.clowns I had years ago!

few additions from about a half and a week ago. visited the brother in law's 180g tank and got quite a few frags. i started placing some of the frags on saturday but then ran out of super glue. UGH! will have to continue at another time.

if anyone is able to ID some of these zoo's that would be great!

thanks! where in JC are ya from?

most of the coral i've mounted on LR with super glue/marine epoxy. getting to the point where i'm going to keep my hands out and let things mature! :spin:

pictures taken just 2 days shy of the tank's 3mo birthday!

also some bad news - the bicolor blenny, frank, that i added last week kicked the bucket within 5 days. not sure what happened really. water params are in check and nothing else in the tank showing any signs of stress. everything else doing well for that matter.

pic from a few weeks ago but i lol'd nonetheless. hermit crab must've base jumped from a rock above and got stuck.

slow growing red hornets. maybe 2mo and only one extra head
