It is setup now. Got it up and running a few days ago. Started moving the inhabitants over yesterday. What fun that was having to leave 3 larger pcs of my rock in the old tank for now...#1-all 3pcs are cover with caulerpa(don't want that in my DT). #2-my Hatian Reef Anemone attached itself to one of these pcs. This is the fun part...

By the way, through all of this...it's been about 4yrs since I found the 72 and my wife has watched me loose my mind and become obssesed. The last year has been really interesting...I guess in a proverbial sense, I cut my reef teeth in the 72bf. Now its on to a bigger tank!

Now waiting for the 300lbs of rock that I made to be ready...

Figured it would be cheaper to get another Wave Point light, rather than get a bigger fixture (note to self...a 4 bulb t5 isn't really big enough for a 140g DD tank). After fabricating some brackets to mount them together, some chain to suspend it from the ceiling, and what do I have? ONE HEAVY LIGHT FIXTURE! But it works and is very secure!

First pc of my diy rock is in the DT! Too bad its only a soft ball size, but its a start.

Got a few pcs of my DIY rock in the DT. Now, this bad boy is going in today. Its about 18"w X 12"h X 8" thick. All of the rock going in from here on out is my own mix of #1 Portland, crushed clam shell, #5, #15, and sand grade aragonite, with mortons rock salt.

My DIY hanging kit. I used some brackets used to hang mirrors (free), a few stove bolts (free), some black fusion paint, and some chain. I had to grind the heads on the stove bolts to fit the factory slots.

I haven't gotten too many uploaded yet. But I just uploaded a few more. Its been slow progress waiting for the DIY rock I made. Its been 8 grueling months waiting, the first of it is just becoming ready. Should be more pics as it fills up with rock.
Was just wondering if all this should be in the DIY forum, or under Tank Threads? Mods?

Your tank might have a problem did u kill the freshwater bacteria before u switched it to saltwater ?

Yes. The tank got a vinegar bath. I'm not in that tank anymore, that was the 72 bow. I'm into a 140g now. PAY ATTENTION. --->Read the thread. <--

Finally got that mama jama in. That PC has to weigh 30lbs. Its an arch made "pete-o-Crete"(go go ahead...think about it...get it? Ha! Lol) Its made from my old sand bed (rinsed and soaked and went through a muriatic acid bath). 4 parts arraginite sand, 2 parts rock salt, 1 part #1 Portland.
