The 280 upgrade

This is where it's going. So this build almost didn't happen. I currently have a 170 gallon and ever since i set it up i knew i was gonna upgade, it was only a matter of when. So this tank came along and i jumped on it. I wanted to re aquascape so i figured if i'm gonna take out the rock why not put it in a new tank. Then when i picked up the 280, saw what i took and how many guys to get it out and in the uhaul i got kinda discouraged and didn't think i was able to pull it off. I was gonna sell off all the live stock and rock and take the upgrade slow. Then talking to richie and getting the wifes approval, it would cost to much to start over. So here it goes.

It's going to be 15" in my dinning room and 15" in the living room. Kinda like a room divider.

I had to cut one side of the stand because i have 2 steps that go from the dinning room to the living room.

I had to rig this up temporary because I wanted to put a 75 gallon with baffles where I had a 75 gallon already set up for the 170 gallon.

took away the temperary sump setup and plumed the new one in.

In your sump room is that a fuge that flows down to actual sump? Is it simply a bulk head with tubing running to sump

yes. I spit the return and i put a ball valve and have a slow flow in the 30 gallon fuge. Then i have it gravity feeding the sump. I think i'm gonna take away the flex tube and hard plumb it in.
