I used totally new sand. Was scared of what might have been stirred up in the old sand.

Nice setup love the sump have similar but I like your ato built in.. very nice might have to change mine. Lol..good luck.

Aaaactually... If I was gonna do it again, I would have asked to have the ATO built as a separate piece. Same location and size, just separate so that when I run kalk I can take it out and wash out the sludge. As it is, I will be starting kalk really soon and I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about this issue.
