Thanks guys, matt I'm trying to get it a little dirtier. Lol gotta add more fish, 2 in qt right now. No3 keeps dropping to zero so I'm dosing a little. Works well and pulls down po4 with the pellets

Tank is looking great. It has finally come around after having some issues. Did you ever figure out the cause and solution to the cyno type algea? Also, how come you stopped running the kessils?

Thanks, not sure what caused the brown snotty algae but I originally thought it was excess nutrients so I tried dosing bacteria which seemed to make it worse. After that didn't work I raised nutrients by dosing no3 which seemed to work but could just be tank matured. I believe that algae was thriving in low nutrient environment and dosing no3 helped. I liked the kessils but for sps there was a lot of shading and I think I needed at least 2 more to have the lighting I wanted. I think they're great for Lps/softie tanks

Really can't prove that was the cause but I suspect raising no3 helped get rid of it. Try to keep no3 between 1-5. I've been dosing seachem flourish nitrogen.

How do you scrape off coraline on the acrylic? Dangerous?

Mighty magnet with algae dozer pad and Kent scraper with red acrylic attachment. You have to be careful by the sand but not too bad.
