ok, i have decided to track growth of my tank over the next 6 month's and do once a month photo's to see if i notice a differance

The photos show length X height X width :)

  • I took average size of a zoanthid polyp (clearly shown in several shots)
  • used that calculate the L X H X W in inches
  • plugged those numbers in Reef Central's tank volume calculator

Dean, did your measurements include tentacles or just the oral disc? I'm surprised you didn't use the grain of sand method it has been shown to be far more accurate for figuring out tank dimensions/ volumes, than the zoanthid process.
