Well the time is finally here its been ordered and is at the LFS. Will be picking it up this weekend and bringing it home.

Its going to go in place of my 180 in wall. Then the 180 is going to be turned in to a sump/fuge.

The tank is 72"Long 36"Wide 27"Tall

I cant wait until i bring it home this weekend. Its going to be a process since i have to place it where my 180 is now. But i will be taking pics though out the whole setup.

Yes it is Starphire glass

Well it cost a pretty penny. Lets say over a grand.

Nothing as of yet. Trying to get it down stairs. Since its 36" wide it has to go on its side down the stairs. And weights 460 so need to major help.

Hope to get it down this weekend if possible.

Will post some pics if i can get someone to take some that's not helping lift the tank.

Is it only starfire glass in the front?

Yes only in the front of the tank. Its going in wall so didn't care if the sides or back was.

well took the 180 all apart and took it out.

Its now time to build the stand for the 300.

After looking at the stands they come with i think 2x4 with some 2x6 should support it with no issues.

looks like a good start so far... was wondering when you would post something did you change your lighting to the lumen reflectors? I am interested in doing something with one on my 150 cube

Yes i switched the lights to lumen brights with 20K reef lux bulbs. And i an say i would never go back to those fixtures or any other light.

Im also thinking about adding in some more VHO's to the mix as well since i have 36" of tank to cover.

Hopefully this weekend the tank can make its way down stairs and i can start getting things ready.
