Well tripod will help with the focus ,plus someof the clam pic where taken from above .Cant the tripod up that high and over.
But here is a pic of sonny ,I guess i should say the real Sonny (new cam)

You have to use flash, put it in macro focus mode. Adjust the white balance for what kind of light: tungsten, shade, fluor 1, 2, etc. When you change, the viewfinder will show you the color changes. If your flash has an intensity adjustment (mine adjusts for weaker flash in macro mode) adjust lower for close up pics.

nice pic ,,,im still getting the hang of it ,Just got it today ,and those where the 1st set of pics ,they wil get better ,In time.Im on the right track thou ,tripod will help me a hell of alot .But much better then before :)

wel if you ask me ,i cant say ,i bought 2 cameras ,the 4300 and the s1 5.1 megapixel,
depending on what you are looking to do with it
