My new tank for christmas

hey guys i been wanting to post this, it's my new year's 40 gallon tank. I think this might be the most im able to keep for now so here yah go.

this tank is using the jackson method, BB, skimmer and micron bags!

tek t-5s 3 aquablue special and 1 blue +
it has the same amount of par as my 175MH last my friend measured. it's alright my tank is shallow should be ok. im good even with alittle growth, cant upgrade to fasy anyhow.

shaun the body for one of those is 113 dollars off marine depot. this should be on your main tank, and your das should be on the 30 LOL! this thing is much bigger then your DAS and more foam.

Dave, can you give me the link, ie actual skimmer on Marine depot. How did you get it to hang on the back?

My DAS skimmer won't hang off the thirty gallon tank, :banghead: .

Next week I am off all week chillin so let's hang out if you have time, and go an visit Mike.

it's cheap and works great! it's the same as a ER6-2 or a ASMG3
but this has a disfuser cup >D

jung yeah the pic was with 2 bulbs only they hurt my grandma's eyes.

Spyke, this is not even the needlewheel one. you think the needlewheel one is better? I'm in the market for a skimmer right now, I was set on the G3 until i saw your thread. which would you recommand more? thanks

Nsr250NYC im using a oceanrunner 2700 needle wheel recirculating with a custom turbo manifold for a luft pump :p also i added a port for kalk dripping too. If shaun gets one he already has the oceanrunner pump as well so the venturi one is what we need because we have the body already.

i think if your not a DIY guy dont waste your time or effort to try. you'll only break something. buy the ASM G3 and be happy with it. To build one you gotta measure air etcc alot of hassle.
