What's up guys.
Got into this hobby a couple months ago. Have a 12G Nanocube set up for about 4-5 months.
Decided to start a 3G Jbj Pico. Will track my progress in this thread. :givebeer:

Equipment:
3 Gallon JBJ Picotope
Aqua Clear 50 (Running just filter floss for now)
Stock 9W Light
Heater
3-4 Lbs of live rock
2-3 Lbs live sand

Future Plans:
2.5 Gallon Sump
DIY LED Lighting
Koralia Nano

Tank will be moved from this space this weekend.

Zany: Thanks for the advice. I want to have a sump though. Think it would be really cool with this tank. And I plan on changing the lights to LEDs.

Reeftanker: Thanks, I will look into smaller pumps.

Dubs, Jadakiss, Infernost: Thanks guys.

Jaa1456: Thanks I will try to find one.

Lenny718: Thanks, MP10

Awesome. I am thinking of making a similar setup, and already have the tank in place with water running. From my experience so far, evaporation is pretty intense (I guess another 3g sump would halve the effects) - I would recommend either an ATO or topping off once a day.

Also, SaltwaterCritters just posted a Black Friday sale with some minijets... not sure if that's what you need (I am just running a HOB Aquaclear for now).

Keep us updated!

Thanks noobzy

I agree, the evap is pretty bad. I will look into a ATO but for now just going to top off daily.
For now I am running a HOB AC too. Will switch to the sump later. I have a small powerhead that I will put in the tank at a later time :)

UPDATE:

- Not much going on with the tank. Letting it run its course.
- Added some more rock, found a tiny starfish. Probably will want to add some more sand.
- Still have not moved the tank to its location.

On a good note, I went to my girlfriend's house and see a small box from BOOSTLED.
A couple weeks back, she seen me online looking at the PAR30 LED Bulbs and asked me a couple questions, like what it's for and why is it like that and which ones I would get. Explained everything to her. I had no idea she would buy it for me :) Nice X-Mas gift. Just sucks that I have to wait for X-Mas haha

The bulb is 4 Royal Blue LEDS and 1 Cool White Led; 60 Optics.

Here are some pics:

Nice little light. Good luck with the tank. I think it is cool to run sump on this.
My buddy has a 4 gal. pico with a hidden 30 gal sump. Very Cool.
