Nice tank,

Love the Copperband butterfly fish I have one myself he is 18 mos. old and did a job on my aptasia when they were taking over my tank. None of my other fish mess with him and i believe that is the secret with his longevity.

Almost a month since last post. Starting to battle hair algea. I believe my dry rock from BRS is leaching some PO4. I tested PO4 with a low level meter and PO4 was .04. I added some GFO and tested yesterday and PO4 measured 0 with low level meter. I have been pulling out the HA manually and see that it is not growing back rapidly, so I hope I have turned the corner.

I threw in some updated pics of some of my corals. First up is my Blue Monster Tort which is actually a nice blue throughout, but photographed light. Second is Bird of Paradise. Third is my Aussie Blue which has not grown, but is still nice and blue. You can also see my Strawberry Shortcake in backround. Last up is my Pokerstar Monti.

Overall, I'm happy with progress. The HA is something I never had in my old system and is a pain, but I am managing it

Hey Paulie, I think evrytime I see algea I think "hair algea". There is a small tuft of it in the pic. of my Bird of Paradise, near the base.

But, tomorrow I will post a better pic. LMK what you think. Thanks

My fish wont eat it except for my Lawnmower Blenny, who doesn't make a dent.

I definitly see that it is not growing back like it was, so hopefully I'm turnning to corner.

Well it hasn't been a month and I wish I had something good to post, but today I lost my Copperbanded Butterfly. I am quite pissed as I have had him for 8 months. He showed no sign of stress. He ate yesterday and was always a great eater. I just don't get it!

On a good note, my Hair Algea has greatly subsided.

Thanks guys. Apparently I'm better at keeping corals than fish.

Here's a shot of my Pokerstar Monti

My Sunset Monti is really taking off

One eye of Slama's Watermelon Chalice. It's tiny but it was half this size when I got it. Ugh! The lighting is not blue, pic just came out that way.
