Thanks. definitely. hopefully he gets more. I have a lot of room for corals. too bad this hobby cost an arm and a leg. I can easily spend 500 and need more.

sold my live stock to restock a different route. So far so good! very nice size yellow tang. I bought this tang because my grandfather who passed away was known through our family as we were young his beautiful fish tanks but he had a swarm of yellow tangs and in his house in the philippines was surrounded with them.

This is a piece of him around me....the one who kept saying he was proud of me serving in the US Navy.

Nice shots. Unable to view the video though says not found. The tank you sold me was the one with the canopy. I just set the tank up within the last few months after having it sitting in storage all this time. Everything worked fine and it's running smooth.

Great! I love hearing the things that I sell are exactly what they wanted or bought. I'm surprised this marineland hasn't been sold as of yet. I want to keep it as long as possible so my coral have time to grow out and see if I want to make a switch from there. I LOVE the black silicone + rimless look. I may go for the new deep blue tanks.

Ive been meaning to make a thread off the tank but I'm just lazy and feel like alot of these tanks will just put mine to shame so no point lol. Ill just watch from the sidelines.

The good thing about these tank threads is not to much show off but monitoring your tank. Great tanks depend on how deep your pockets are 99% of the time. As you can see mine is still pretty empty! ha

hey i understand the sentimental value of that yellow tang and what it means to you because of your grandfather but please rethink that tangs situation. No tang belongs in a 45 cube. Im not telling you what to do or bashing you but i feel bad for that fish, it doesn't belong in there. :(.... there are plenty of beautiful colored fish that you can go with that are suitable for a tank that size.

I understand and the good thing is I always upgrade. I plan on moving upto a 60+sooner or later. I just looked again and my trim shows water again so there is definitely a very slight leak somewhere.

I'll just wait for a good deal to pop-up then I'll make the upgrade.

I figured out why tank is "leaking".....ha

Everytime I put my hand in there my damn true perc would bite me and this time really got me and I saw how much splash I make. I cleaned out the trim previous and looked again after that. I'll clear it again and wait a few days to see if I just wasn't paying attention and notice it days after something like that happens. My wife complains about me making a lot of water drip so noticed it after that incident. Hopefully that is my cause.

additions:

ORA Red PLANET!!

ZOAS/Palys
Devils armor
ATL mohawks

Trading:
my open brain for blastos
20+heads of my acan for a nice size colony of pink birdsnest

I'll be fragging the pink birdsnest to mini colonies but have a decent size colony.

Besides getting more SPS, I'll probably be going for nice acan frags to cover up my sand. I may go for different color fungia plates instead. Orange, etc would look pretty nice. also some nice color clams.

If I don't upgrade within the next 3 months, I'll be selling my livestock in hopes for the tank to be mature enough for a pair of mandarins!

3 months in:

tank3monthsin.jpg

Upgraded to AI SOL LEDs.
I just moved my green and blue/purple digis to my overflow and the one to the right as well.

Only problem I am having is my red planet PE is down. I am going to try moving it around and see if that helps.

More new additions:
The purple, green and arrangement of blue hues don't know the type ;x
Fox coral with about 10-12 heads.

added another true perc since I got it for like 15 bucks!!

I was getting ready to sell my osc clown but it was a freebie to my son so he won't let it go. They are behaving and the two percs are now hosting the gonipora so I'm hoping to see some mating rituals soon enough then some eggs! clown sex. ha

Recovery:
my chalice at the bottom of the tank is recovering pretty well. still ugly sight with that big hole. I still have no clue the name. from the looks of the chalice I am hoping it's the grape watermelon I have seen.
The birdsnest was brown when I first got it and has since showing very good signs of coloring up and now showing up branches as neon green at night.

So all my livestock is doing good but worried about my Red Planet. I think I will have to move it around to see where it is happy. I might move it to the bottom. [I've been researching placement and it's mixed based on the coloring you would expect or desire]

Thanks to:
RareClowns for the awesome new fixture!!
Current favorite coral is the Superman Rhodactis!! Thanks Bayondai!!
Thanks to TomTooth for the chaeto!
Thanks to akma for kind gesture as well for chaeto!
Thanks MR for your awesome community! Bring on a new year and more time for my tank to MATURE!
