I picked up a bottle of liquid phos remover from brightwell. I figured I would do like a half dose once a week just as a back up to water changes and normal maintenance. The directions called for 3 capfuls, I put one in and it instantly clouded up my tank. It said nothing about this on the label or anywhere else I could find info about this product. This is the second time one of his products clouded up my tank, and it will be the last. Just a heads up for anyone out there considering using this product...

Nvrmnd I was wrong it does say it may slightly cloud tank. Still dont like it lol, but this thread should be removed as I was completely wrong.

you mean this product? http://brightwellaquatics.com/products/phosphat-et.php? Their instructions state "Aquarium may become slightly cloudy when product is first applied; cloudiness is temporary and will dissipate," and "The result is an inert particulate that is permanently removed from the aquarium via mechanical filtration and protein skimming"

yeah thats its, and you're right, above the "basic" instructions it does say may cause cloudiness. I was reading the actual instructions and warnings and missed the disclaimer on the top. I will say this: slightly cloudy is the understatement of the year

All liquid bonding agents will cause the tank to cloud. You aren't supposed to dose it into the display tank directly, it's supposed to go in the overflow towers (or other area of turbulent flow like parts of the sump) where it can mix and be removed more efficiently by micron bags or other filtration before entering the display tank.

Yeah I followed the directions and placed it near the skimmer in take. I had a bad experience with a brightwell product and i kinda jumped the gun on condemning this one.

Im sorry I thought I had made it pretty clear in the first post that i misread the directions, mod please remove thread!
