man times are tough even some of the better companies are going under

People need to stop blaming the economy for everything.

IceCap was a lighting company that didn't progress with the trends in lighting. They screwed up and went under. It's sad, but it happens. In a bad economy, you need to offer customers more, not less, and many businesses don't understand this. Then the economy is blamed instead of lack of business sense.

Agree. They've stopped researching and introducing new lighting solutions and since the LEDs entered the market many new companies established themselves in the hobby. It's sad company with such a history is gone but I think the fault is on their side, not economy's.

Agreed, IC was seriously mismanaged for the past several years after new ownership took over and never really understood the industry, the market, or what once made the company a leader---innovative products and top notch customer service and a person --Andy Howard--who was the trusted and visible face of the company.

+1 you can't blame the economy for a lot of this when you look around the room and still see most companies still standing tall and doing business. The economy only serves as a catalyst for the downfall but there are other, more dire, reasons for it.
