When I put the fish in the tank on Wed night (all lights were off), it went straight to the sandbed. He spun his body in circles to create a vortex and buried himself to go to sleep. I did not see him for until today. I was thinking how could he breath beneath the sand and thought that he might not make it and would turn into fossils. Very happy to see him for the fish time swimming in the tank. I think he buried himself again after the light went off. I did not see him did it this time. I was hoping to catch it in my video but without luck. I did see a big sand storm about 1/2hr after the light went off. So I would think that they like a tank with a sandbed. I'll keep you guys posted. Certainly an awesome fish for $15.:skull:

My red leapord did the same thing - didn't see him for 4 days, and wrote him off, then one day - BAM eating mysis

Too funny - enjoy that fish, more to come for us.
