Hey Sean, maybe you should look into getting a digital camera? Sometimes it helps to get an idea of what the coral looks like before making the trip out to you, just a suggestion.

The problem is time.
Currently I work 7 days a week about 8-14 hours a day and I'm hardly at the shop now.

Once in a while I'm able to take some pictures but it's rare.

Unfortunately if you want to take advantage of this killer deal you may have to leave your house and see it for yourself. One of the great things about this hobby is visiting the different stores and seeing all the animals. Have you ever seen a Bellus angel, Hawaiian flame wrasse or a grifissi angel? If you haven't it's a great experience to see one in person. Just my $.02

Understand what you say, but to be honest i don't see why it would be so difficult to take a picture of it and post it here on MR. It would take me less than 5 minutes to do. Coudn't you have someone at your store take the pictures and you can upload them later in the evenings? I'm sure they are nice colonies but would like to see them before i make the trip out since time is always an issue for me. Most vendors post pictures of what they have and i think for your benefit it would be a great idea to do the same. And yes by the way i've seen those fish you mentioned, actually have pair of flames in my tank :)

My 2cents...

I didn't say shop, i said vendors. I believe most vendors on this board post pictures of what they are selling. Hey, if you don't have time to post pictures no problem. I'm just letting you know there maybe alot of miss opportunities for you. And for what its worth, there are alot of actual stores that do post there livestock online. Although these fishstores aren't located here in NYC but i certainly can name a few that run an online business and actual store front.

My 2 cents....

Sean has posted pics in the past just not as frequently as some of the other vendors.

Sean has a very nice store, and so many different types livestock. I would be excited just to see what new stuff is in. No other store in Brooklyn post pictures and no other store in brooklyn carries the selection that Sean has.:wink1: Many vendors on this site do not have a storefront. They mostly sell out of a side tank.

Lets be fair, Sean is doing all us a favor by just tellings us what he stocks. I am very new to the business, but I'm learning very quickly that it is not as easy as it seems.

Saltwater fish are very delicate creatures. From the time they are caught till the time they reach the storefront display. What would you rather have, the store keeper taking snapshots of fish or making sure the parameters of the tank are in check?

Side deals on websites are cool, but look out for your LFS if they are looking out for you.

The bottom line for this business is very slim, even though it is a 3 billion a year dollar business. Some LFS has tarnish this hobby but they are many cool stores out there trying to give hobbist a break. Let Sean take care of the displays so that we can have healthy fish in our display

Sean don't take this the wrong way but I won't shop at your store, the reason being that you are way to far from me, Dru same to you.

Huerfan makes good points that Pics sell or help sell alot easier. I made my first (in 5 years)shipped aquarian purchase this past week never had livestock sent to me ever. I want to go to a store or a reefer's house and pickup, or meet a reefer and pickup at a central location.

Sean works hard and does servicing from what I understand and that prohibits him from taking pics sometimes, other times it doesn't. Sean doesn't have an internet store up and running, Dru does. Sean's store is constantly full. Dru's site is almost void of livestock.

All in all, Dru chill, Sean if you can take some pics it would help but if you can't no prob.

Sean you could make one of your employees do it but if that takes him from his regular duties and is not cost effective I understand that too.

Remember there is ZERO chance I will shop at either of your stores unless you move to middle or upper westchester. That being said fire away at the ole chief. Got my vest on and waiting for the hail of gunfire.

I am looking out for my LFS. I am making a suggestion that will help him generate sales. Like Chief mentioned, Sean used to post pics and i know that. So why not continue to do so in order to attract customers.

Sean is in a location that i don't frequently visit, but if enticed by something nice then i would make the trip.
