any Petland store should carry dry reptile sands
No, no. He is not looking for any dry sand. Southdown sand is hard to find nowadays. They are supposed to be "pure" calcium carbonate sand which are low in silicate and other impurities like the typical playsand you find at the hardware store. They are much cheaper than the reef sand that you can buy from reef stores. GL finding them.
I have some. I'll let you know how much later tonight.

I only have one bag of un-used South Down (I thought I had 3). I'm keeping that. If you change your mind on used I have 4 5 gallon buckets of that.
I'm not sure if it's still being made or it's just under a different name, probably under a different name. What you should do it contact the manufacture and see if they're still making it and where to get it. You could also go to their web site and see what products that they have. It's possible that another manufacture could be handling it now, something they should be able to tell you who. I wouldn't mention that you're going to use it in a reef tank, just that you used it before in a sandbox and you want to use it again.
