WTB: Southdown Play Sand

You might get lucky in your search for the good old Southdow, but I highly doubt it. I was also searching for it, and have not found it yet.

and seriously considered it. But in the end I just stuck with what is already in my tank.

Yeah I've tried searching for it many times on the web but it's just not around anymore as Southdown. I want to do what marrone said but I have no idea where to find the contact number simply because I don't know who the manufacturer is

If you do start calling around say you want aragonite sand for a large sand box. A large number of parents have posted concerns about having their kids play in sand boxes with silica sand.
They must not trust the beaches either.
Anyway, you can play the concerned parent and it may help your search.

I am fairly certain they sold it to another company - it used to be packaged under another name (Yardright) and was sold in red bags, but those were gone sometime ago.

When I put up my 180, I drove to Tennessee to get 25 bags of it from home depot. (2005). Haven't seen it since then. Unless someone has it stockpiled, it's a dead search IMO

Ugh that sucks, I really wanted some more this sand I just don't like mixing cause I hate that look of a mix.

What looks similar to it that is sold as actually saltwater fish tank sand?
