My red and blue legged hermits are outgrowing their shells. If anyone will be selling them at the swap I'll buy them as soon as the doors open. I need about 10-15 shells.
Why not just go to Chinatown (or any other Asian fish market in any borough) and buy perwinkles? They are something like $2 a lb.....and you'd need less than half a lb. Steam them (or better yet, stir fry them with garlic, ginger, and black beans) and enjoy the meal. Then just wash out the shells and toss them in the tank.
I won't eat them but if anyone else wants to eat them and save me the shells I'll pay you whatever they cost. But please not at a fancy restaurant. My hermits aren't that important.
