Yeah, I wasn't expecting someone would have one for sale here but I thought I'd put it out there. Likely, a rimless tank would have been a custom order. Masterswimmer, I certainly hope you are wrong about them not being structurally sound as I have received estimates for such a build from 3-4 different companies.

Glasscages.com charges under a grand shipped for the dimension I listed above, but based on mixed reviews, I'm a bit hesitant to use them. Although, I may end up doing just that.

Anyone selling a used Elos tank?

I have a rimless glasscages 55 and i like it thus far. I have heard about shotty craftsmanship on tanks of past. Cant say my 55 is perfect but a great deal for what i am using it for(frag tank). When i was picking up my tank along with 15 others i had time to look at quite a few of there tanks....and with that being said I probably would not let them build a large tank for me.... Just my 2 cents.

I Have A 60g Cube Thats Rimless From Gc, 24x24x24, Could Have Got Better Quality Over All, But For The Price It Was Right, And People Looking At My Tank Arent Looking At The Tank, They Are Looking At Whats In It

Yeah, I would love to hear more about people's experience with Glass Cages actually. Like I said, if I have it built, I'm going with 36x24x24, so not a HUGE tank, but certainly can't afford to have something break on me.

I guess I would like to know whether people here think that there's a real chance that a Glass Cages tank would be made so badly that it would actually break on them. I could deal with paying less and getting some no-so-neat silicone work, but having 90 gallons on the floor (an apt building) is just not acceptable.

So, would paying twice as much for an Aquarium Obsessed, A Miracles, or even an ELOS really be necessary for piece of mind? I'd like to think that anyone who makes a tank is making one that at least wont break (and that the price differences come down to things like quality of silicone work/customer service/even quality of glass).

Would love to hear some opinions... (beyond "you get what you pay for")

Thanks!
