The Red Sox are just as formiddable without Manny in the lineup. He was the most feared hitter in their line up. Now it's Jason Bay who sits in the 3 or 4 spot. His name just doens't invoke the same fear that Manny's did. Thanks Joe Torre.........a Yankee forever!!

I turned it off at 10 - 3. I have no idea what the final was and I probably don't want to know. The Angels are the best team in baseball right now. The Yankees need a split of this series big time.

How can anyone say thats a bad trade by the Sox? Manny wanted out, he hated Boston, and the Sox got a solid younger player who will hit 30Hr and 100+ rbi's this year, for 7.5 million. I always defended Manny to because he is so talented, but frankly I'm glad to be rid of him. Its still a good 3-4-5-6 with Bay Ortiz Lowell Drew. The Angels are looking pretty good, but they ALWAYS look pretty good and typically lose in the DS.

angels are looking very tough...since we lost the petit start, the yanks will be lucky to go 1-3 this series.

swept the sox (before adding Texeira), could sweep the yanks. They look really tough, as do the White Sox - although I am not as worried about them. If its an Angels-Dodgers world series I will not watch - much like the Angels-Giants WS a few years back that no one cared about.

Jason Bay is a solid player, but he is not the perennial all star Manny is. Lets put it this way, you are up 3 - 2 in the ninth with bases loaded (your team is on the field), who would you rather face........Jason Bay or Manny Ramirez?

He can be an ass sometimes, but you can't deny his ability to hit. Jason Bay is a good possibly great player......but his bat is not as good as Manny's.
