Manny Ramirez

Looks like he's on the way to Florida and losing him will be big for the Red Sox(who I hate). He's their main RBI guy and a sure hall of famer. The Marlins will now win the east with him most likely.Jason Bay is NOT Manny but a good hitter.Let's see what happens. He wanted out so badly, now he's got his wish.Too bad he can't come to NY to play for my Yankees.

Yankees

As a die hard Yankees fan, I don't want him. The Marlins are young and Manny will help. Jason Bay is a good hitter (not as good as Manny) but a better fielder. That will help the Sox. In the end, the Marlins fall short of the East but win the wild card and the Yankees and Red Sox make the playoffs.

The way the Yanks losing to Baltimore like that, not so sure but IF they make it to the play offs, can they go beyond the first round?Ponson and Rasner are not dependable.

Yankees

This upcoming series with the Angels will tell the story. Can the Yankees compete with the best time in baseball? If they can win 3 games, I will remain confident. If they lose 3 games, call it a season. I like the pick up of Pudge, they still have a great line up and Ponson has pitched well this year so I expect good things from him. They certainly have a chance......a good chance to make the playoffs.

lol u mean after winning 8 in a row and beating the Red Sox in a series they lose a few games and you don't think they will make it to the playoffs? Have you even been watching lately? The yankees have been on fire, you can't win every game. You are not a true fan. Every year all you say is "I don't think the Yankees will make the playoffs." Yet every year they do.

Back to the subject, Boston is making a mistake if they give up Manny. That being said, I don't think Florida will pay Manny the money he needs but I have been wrong before.

I don't every want to see Manny in pinstripes, regardless of how good he is. He brings too much drama to the clubhouse.

I'm from Boston...
I dont see this as a bad trade by the Sox, they will NEVER get equal value for Manny, he has wanted out for 5 years and there is almost no way he will be a Sox again next year. While his RBI's might help the push for the playoffs, I think Bay and Grabow can nearly make up for it. That being said I'm not sure it will happen. The Pirates dont seem to be making out that well...

And the White Sox just got Griffey.

nah Griffey belongs in Cincy, his home town...where his old man played. It's a shame. The Griffey's have such a long history in that town.

I don't think Manny can play 162 games with a real outfield. His offense is arguably one of the best in baseball, but his defense was perfect for a little league outfield.

I don't ever want him in pinstripes either. His prima dona attitude would not be a good mix for NY or the bombers clubhouse. Keep him out of the Bx forever. Maybe Manny and Bonds can buy and start a team of their own. Birds of a feather............

Griffey seems to have been injured or underperforming during his time with the Reds. Almost cost him Hall of Fame status. I like Grif for his gameplay, not his hometown.
