While snapping some pics, I start to see what appears to be pellets floating around the tank.
Now I'm start to bug-out....because I'm not feeding my tank yet.
Fish start going crazy & the skimmer shuts down, so I start to inspect the tank to find out the deal.
I notice the Dendro closed up.....then POOF! It started shooting hundreds of these pellets (eggs???) out of it's mouth.

House stated LPS spawn.
Ink stated he saw it on TV:rolleyes:

But WTF!?!?!

Pic #1 - In it's glory.

Pic #2 - You'll see one coming out the mouth.

Pic # 3 - Eggs(?) floating around & the Dendro is puffing up to shoot out another load!:flirt:
Happened 3 times!

Heuerfan:
Thanks! I've had them for a few months.
Yep.....they stay open with the lights on & are not really shaded.

Since mine has been closed during the day, I've been feeding it at night, when its' feeding tentacles are out. Maybe it's been 'trained' to open after lights out.

Should I just stop feeding at night? Only during the day like you guys said?

BTW Philly, mine is under T5's. It's on the side of the tank, far from dead center. So it's not receiving the brunt of the light output.

Dean, Philly, thanks for your help.
