Was curious in knowing what would cause one of my scoly's to lose some color. i have had him for a few months now.. would too strong lighting cause it? or too many or too few hours of daylights?
i have 89 watts leds. run daylights 6hours a day and attinics 12 hours a day.
water levels are stable
Temp 80
salinity 1.025
Cal 450
alk 8.6
mag 1290
phos .01
all tested using salifert n hanna

That looks like it's color. Some get that baby blue in them. The scoly looks fine to me from the pic. Good tissue expansion, it's probably coloring up. Unless you have a better pic or see something else in person.

thanks for the replies everyone. i do feed him once a week but this week when i tried to feed him, he didnt open/eat. m other scoly is doing fine and eats like a pig. as for shade-i have a 28 gal and have no shaded areas in tank. i have moved him to the front corner of the tank where he is not being hit wit direct light from all the leds. lets see if this helps
