These two are amazing! I thought they were dead after the last episode with the skimmer's pump. They were just white skeletons just this past December, and look at them now.;) Not 100% back, but who cares all that matters is that they are rising like the Phoenix out of the fire!!!!!!
I really should say these three, but the last pic(palys) are my nightmare!!!:Yikes: I tried everything I could think of to rid my tank of them (vinegar directly in to their mouths, scraping them off, cutting them off, scrubbing the rocks, and even moving what I thought was all the rocks they were on to my old fowlr):Yet there they are, a patch in the back right hand side corner of my reef.:sigh: Sorry about the lousy pic of the palys. I'm not good at taking pix plus I don't care about those darn palys.....

First 2 pix are of my Sunrise Monti, and an SPS of which who's name I do not know.:)

I always tell people there is a difference between "bleached" and "dead". As long as there is still tissue clinging to the skeleton there is hope, if the issue was corrected. On the plus side I find the corals that survive these episodes become that much hardier in the long run.

Hi Jared, perhaps they did have some tissue that I did not see cause they certainly looked like skeletons to me, and others but I refused to take them out just in case. Glad I didn't.;)

Mike, I agree with you. Except that I don't just post "something bad happened".LOL You just haven't seen them.:)
It is not just SPS that have extreme survivals, at least not in my tank.;) one of my Hammers went a few years back when I stupidly put 4 #4 Koralias all at the same in a tank that had never had pw. The hammer completely died, when I finally took the skeleton out I saw a speck of green on a branch. I broke the little piece of bone with that speck on it, and a year or 2 later there are over 10 heads.

Thanks Dubs, it's just as I have always said: "Only the strong survive".;)

Rob, you can have a piece of it when it gets much much bigger.:)

Anyone want that clump of palys?
