Seems like a whole bunch of new skimmers have come in the past couple of years. Used to think my ATI Bubble Master was considered good but not so sure anymore.

For under a grand, does anyone have an opinion on best skimmers?

I have a nac7 works fine but gradually getting better as i just replaced the impeller about a week agoe, but thinking of moding it with a bubble blaster 3000 pump. What you guys think of that pump's peformance, or any other pump in that catogary?

I-Tech 400. I have had this skimmer for several years and I can honestly say it is the best skimmer out there hands down. It produces skim consistently without any problems. My skimmer uses two tunze pumps, and they work great. I clean the skimmer and pumps about every 5-6 months, to keep it in tip top shape. Anyone with one of these skimmers can vouch for it's dependability and construction.

I have the single Tunze Hydro on mine. DEAD silent and skims like there is no tomorrow. Let it break in, set it and forget it. Even after pulling it to clean it, just set it back in the water, turn it on and walk away.

I just need to pick up a bigger collection system as it fills the cup every 3-4 days.

This skimmer is the best thing i ever bought.. I owed so many and the watts and the junk this pulls a week is hands down the best
