ESV Salt Kit for dosing

I bought an ESV salt kit and just didnt like all the measuring so I shelved it and used another salt brand.

So i have all the Part A B and Mag powered.

My question is, can I use the Part A and Part B for dosing? I couldnt find any information on what was actually in each part ( aside from /assuming/ A is CAL and B is ALK). Im not sure what else could be in each part so im hesitant to use it for dosing.

Anyone have any EXP on this?

I asked them about this and Bob said it wasn't a good idea as the formulations are not the same as B-Ionic. I bet you could use the mag. part.

You cannot use them for dosing.

Also spoke to Bob awhile ago and got the same answer. It makes sense when you think about it, since those two bottles have to contain a lot more than just the regular two part for dosing. I'd imagine using them would create some balance issues.

That is the conclusion I came up with based on there being no documentation, or labeling to what exactly the Part A and Part B were.

if you were just going to use the A&B - and the Mag is straight up Mg, then why not just pick up some sodium chloride and finish it out?

Bob said the mag is NOT the same and using it as a buffer will increase sulfide levels in the tank.
