Use clear bottle. Only cut the mouth of the bottle off so the hole is small. Putt mysid in and sure enough that fool will wind up in there. Put it in when you normally feed , but only put food in the trap and don't feed the tank. They can't help it. And don't watch that much. What kind of wrasse is it ?

interesting, i was tricked into buying one from the lfs and luckily for me and my tank it never made it past 3 days and it was a baby. Whats he doing that u want him out? and good luck with the catch! Oh...if you decide to go fishing in your living room you must record it and post.

i have caught every fish i wanted to with my fish trap and i have tried the bottle trick before but when it comes to wrasses they are kind of smart when it comes to the bottle trap, not saying it doesn't work but i never had success with it, i have a trap that has a sliding door on it and i put 5 pieces of shrimp like a trail in it 1 at the door and then so on to the back of the trap you have to watch it constantly but eventually it will peak its head in for that one shrimp and once it does you close the door on him and it will get spooked and swim to the back of the trap if i was you i would take BYU`s offer and grab the trap.

I just tested out the bottle trap to make sure I could catch the sixline that I want out of my tank. It worked. Do it when you do a normal feeding. Just make sure to put some food in the tank for your other livestock. I tied some fishing line to the bottle and just waited until he went in, which was right away. Make sure to cover the top of the bottle after it's caught until you bag it. They find their way back out of the bottle trap fairly quickly and it'll end up carpet surfing. Good luck.
