Some more...

Some fish are just not afraid of snorkelers, the big ones.

where in Hawaii were you?

Waikoloa, Hawaii on the Big Island.
Also we rented a house on the other side of the island near Hilo called Paradise Park (a small community of houses).

This is our 3rd trip there and so far every time has been an awesome experience. Too bad the cost of paradise is steep.

Nice pics. Next time you go you should definatly try to go to Kauii. I went there on my honeymoon and highly recomend it. It is not overrun and very quiet the way I think an island should be,and not to mention the snorkling was great.....What camera did you use?

Hey Tim,

Did Kauai 2 years ago, which technically makes it 4x I've been to the Hawaiian islands. Liked it there and it was beautiful, but it wasn't the same as the Big Island.... all that space.

I used a Canon Powershot S300 w/watertight case, camera wason lend from a scuba friend.

Nice pics Sharn, did you see any Moorish Idols? I can't believe out of all those pics not one Moorish Idol :(

Steven,

I did see them last year by the Captain Cook monument which is a marine park. Not too easy to get to, gotta charter a boat.

More pics...

Be careful of low rocks, wave surges can cause nasty coral rash.

Also a red parrot fish eating chucks of live coral, I actually did see one doing number 2 to create the nice sand we all walk on here.

Thank you very much for your beautiful pictures. Reminds me of the time when I was snorkeling in Maui, almost three years ago.
